The modern mountain bike eats up any terrain. However, it can be tricky to set up and maintain if you don’t know what you are doing. Come and learn how here at CSA. Close to two trail centres in stunning surrounds, plus wild, rough and super challenging terrain on Dartmoor, you will be brilliantly placed to put your bike to the test. Led rides are available upon request as an optional extra.
LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE NEEDED
MTB WEEKENDER - BEGINNER
It is recommended that you have done our one day course in cycle maintenance. However, complete beginners are accepted.
5 DAY MTB IMMERSION - INTERMEDIATE
You must have completed the two day MTB course above to qualify for attendance on this course.
The course runs over two days, or five days, as outlined above.
Learn how to care for your mountain bike with it's off-road specific systems. Much of the technology you will encounter on even an entry level mountain bike will be very different from any bikes you may have previously owned and ridden. This course will enable you to perform effective preventative maintenance and also repair the inevitable crash damage to your machine.

FIVE DAY MTB IMMERSION - INTERMEDIATE
Once you have wetted your appetite with the fundamentals, its time to really get stuck in. Learn how to fully strip and rebuild complicated components, how to use specialist tools and generally get the best out of your complex modern machine. You will leave this course confident in your ability to save time and money by carrying out your own effective repairs and customisations. Ready for anything.

Cost of the Course
Weekend course - the cost is £200.00 plus VAT and includes all instruction and a Cycle Systems certificate upon passing
Five day course - the cost is £500 plus VAT and includes all instruction and a CSA certificate upon passing.
Please note that accomodation, led rides, food or travel is not included in this price. However, reasonably priced accomodation is available on site at the exceptional Seale Hayne premises. A link will be sent upon course purchase.
