The Home of Bicycle Maintenance

Established in 2009, there is simply no facility in Europe as well equipped as Cycle Systems.

The renowned and award-wining Cycle Systems Academy has a wealth of bicycles, tools and equipment for you to work on – from modern bikes sporting the latest tech, and efficient commuting machines, through to bespoke and quirky equipment handed down through the ages.

It’s the place to come as a complete beginner, to gain entry into the profession, to expand your technical skills to the highest level, or to dive deeper into a specialism.

Whatever your mechanical aptitude, you will find something here to both challenge and inspire you with our COURSES.

Stunning Riding on Our Doorstep

There’s a reason that we chose to move Cycle Systems to the Westcountry.

Cycle Systems is a company with a passion for bikes at its core. Whilst we can teach, research and talk about cycle tech until the cows come home (and frequently do), our move to one of the UK’s most naturally beautiful areas means not a day goes by where we don’t get out on our bikes – actually cycling.

This means at Cycle Systems we have an unsurpassed, intimate knowledge of our surrounds. We know the best roads. We know the best trails.

Furthermore, we made a genius move even if we say so ourselves! Why start at 9am when we can start at 10am?

All study days begin at 10am, meaning that students have time to get up, do a good long ride before class if that’s what they’re into. It’s not uncommon for students to cycle up to Haytor and back before we open – and there are countless other tracks and routes for you to try out here during your visit. From serious challenging downhill, to long, expansive stretches of wild open road.

An Amazing and Welcoming Site

Why not make a stay of it?

Cycle Systems Academy is located in a stunning South Devon location with superb cycling, and award-winning accommodation and facilities on site to boot.

Based at Hannah’s at Seale Hayne – a campus in the rolling Devon hills on the very southern edge of Dartmoor – students at Cycle Systems are able to take advantage of the clean and affordable on-site accommodation. Rooms start at £20 pp/pn.

All details re securing a room at Hannah’s are sent upon booking. Or you can visit their site here.

There’s an array of really good eating facilities on the campus

Often, students decide to bring their entire family with them, as there are an array of things to do for children and adults alike making this an attractive visit for all the family whilst they study. From the onsite spa, to the art exhibitions or local artists, regular musical events and award-winning bistro. Not to mention the nearby beaches or moorland walks.

Cycle Systems’ COURSES cater to all levels.

Whilst our instructors possess an almost encyclopaedic knowledge of cycle tech, they are also a very warm, friendly and welcoming bunch. There are not precious attitudes here – simply a love of bikes and for understanding how to fix them.

Whether you are a complete beginner, want to brush up on particular skills, undertake a full professional bicycle mechanic training, or to find out how we can help improve the efficiency and skill level of your staff, Cycle Systems Academy is the place to train.
